The Fall of Rome:

Rome existed as an empire for over ten centuries.  The Romans brought stability, prosperity, development, law and order to Western Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.  Rome constructed a vast network of roads to connect all the distant lands of their vast empire.  This fact eventually led to the creation of the saying “all roads lead to Rome”.  The Romans were a legal-minded people.  They introduced a code of laws that applied equally to all parts and peoples of their empire.

Although Rome was powerful it was beset by all sorts of problems.
1). Persia rivaled Rome’s power in the east.
2). Germans invaded the empire relentlessly from the north.
3). Rome was ruled by often corrupt and incapable emperors.
4). Civil wars frequently broke between political rivals who fought one another to become the next emperor.
4). Public officials in Rome were corrupt and self-serving.
5). Rome’s economy was in trouble.
6). Rome’s conquests ended.

Rome eventually fell to German invasions from the north.  With the fall of Rome there was no power capable of maintaining law and order in Europe. Feel free to watch the short video below describing the consequences of Rome's demise.
